CAN I GET A SAME-DAY APPOINTMENT?

Our Monday-Friday schedule is flexible so that we can get you in quickly when you need us.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

Although we do accept most insurances, please make sure you contact your insurance company to confirm whether or not you have chiropractic coverage. The number is located on the back of your insurance card. **PLEASE NOTE: We are Tier 2 providers for U of  R plans through Aetna and Excellus.**

The following insurances DO NOT cover chiropractic:

  • Empire NYSHIP

  • Family Health Plus

  • Healthy NY

  • Medicaid

*Any patient with these plans can be a self-pay. Please contact our office staff regarding the fee schedule

As of March 1, 2022, we are no longer participating in all MVP Plans. As a courtesy, MVP Gold/Medicare plans will be charged at our Medicare fee schedule.  Regular MVP plans will be charged at our self pay rate. Please contact our office staff regarding the fee schedule.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

During your first evaluation you will:

-Fill out necessary paper work
-Consult with your doctor about your aches and pains
-Undergo a physical exam.
-Discuss your treatment options with your doctor
-Learn different self help techniques to do at home (Heat, exercises, stretching, etc.)
-Schedule for any necessary follow-up care
-Order any necessary diagnostic studies

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FOLLOW UP VISIT

Treatment lengths vary depending on the individual’s medical condition. Typically, newer injuries, if treated appropriately and immediately, tend to respond to fewer visits assuming that major tissue injury has not occurred. Conditions that have been present for more than three months and recurring conditions generally require more time to achieve a successful outcome.

*Manual therapy including soft tissue and joint manipulation.
*Modality: including traction, electronic stimulation, HMP/ICE, ultrasound, K Tape, Heel lifts, orthotics, back/neck supports.
*Stretches/exercises
*Imaging studies: including X-Ray, MRI, CT scans, Bone density
*Laboratory Studies: including Blood chemistries, Vitamin deficiencies, and Autoimmune/inflammatory screens

What should I wear to my appointment?

 

- Loose fitting clothing such as sweatpants, t-shirts, tank tops, button down shirts, etc. is best.

-If being seen for a knee issue, wear or bring a pair of loose fitting shorts to change into.

-Avoid wearing necklaces and earrings that dangle, including large hoop earrings.
